I thought that it was interesting how the Latin language remained the language of Rome for so long, was adopted by many different people, and then developed into many different languages and we still use these languages today.
I thought it was interesting when it started talking about the Roman Fine Arts. How the Romans learned the art of sculpture from the Greeks. Even though the Romans made their sculptures of rock and the Greeks wanted their scupltures more for the beauty and idealization.
I find it interesting that French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and Romanian languages are called the Romance languages because of their common Roman heritage.
I thought it was interesting that the Huns caused so much trouble. All they pretty much did was invade and destroy everything. Okay so thats kinda bad. They just kept moving through, and eventually overran Rome, even. When Atilla became "cheiftain", he attacked and terrorized both halves of the empire.

It's amazing how much Rome influenced the moder world. Roman art styles are still used even today. Even our language is influenced so much by Latin.
