I thought it was very interesting that the name they gave the period of time when they had peace and prosperity Pax Romana which means Roman Peace.

I thought it was interesting how agriculture was the most important industry in the empire. Everything depended on it and almost 90 percent of the population was a part of farming.

Calpurnia, Julius Caesar's wife had a dream that Julius would be stabbed to death and then, when he went to the Senate, he was.

I thought it was very interesting that Calpurnia, Julius Ceasar's wife had a vision that her husband would be stabbed to death. Unfortunatly, that dream became reality and Julius was stabbed to death when he went to the Senate.

I found it intreating that Ceaser started colonies where people without land could own property, and he increased pay for soldiers.

I found it very interesting that the two people who tried to help Rome's poor were murdered.

One thing I found interesting, yet wrong was that slaves were property of their owners and could be punished, rewarded, set free, or put to death as their masters saw fit. I definitely think that is really wrong!

I thought that it was interesting how Caesear did things to help the poor even though he had the power to do anything he wanted. He could have gave more to the wealthy and let the poor suffer but he decided to help people instead of hurt them. In my opinion this gave more people chances to do what they wanted and let everyone feel like they were somewhat wealthy.

I think it was interesting that the Second Triumvirate (of Octavian, Mark Antony, and Lepidus) fell apart because of jealousy and violence.
Octavian forced Lepidus to retire, and then became rivals with Mark Antony, because Mark was in love with Cleopatra, and Octavian thought Mark was going to try to rule from Egypt. Civil war happened again (that seems to happen alot), and Octavian beat Mark and Cleopatra, so they commited suicide.

I thought it was interesting that the rulership of Rome changed hands so many times. It's good to see that not all Roman emperpors were bad. I thought it was amazing that Octavian was able to run Rome so well, even to keep it that way after he died.

i thought it was interesting how more than 1 million slaves died trying to gain their freedom and they never succeed in doing so.
