I thought that it was interesting how there were different groups of Romans; patricians and plebeians. They were seperated by things like their wealth and i thought that that was interesting because we still have that in our country today.

Something I found interesting was that a dictator's power only lasted six months and that they were elected, when today our presidents are elected, but have power for a term of four years or more if they go into a second term.

I found it intreasting when I read about how Rome grew from a collection of hilltop villages to a city that covered nearly 500 square miles.

I think it is interesting that a consul's term was only a year long, and then they had to wait ten years to be elected again.

I thought it was very interesting that a dictator's power only lasted for a period of six months, compared to the four years that the president is allowed today.

I thought it was interesting that people thought that rome was founded by Romulus and Remus who were apparently twins who were born from the god of mars and a latin princess.

Rome was such a big military force because they were so organized. This says a lot. I mean, really. All the other armies would've had to do would be to organize their infantry into legions, then into centuries, with a calvary supporting a legion. Oh yeah, the fighting skill also helped Rome rise to greatness!!!!!

I thought it was amazing that Hannibal was still a threat to Rome, even though he lost half of his army. It's also interesting that a dictator held power for six months, as least until he can get the military to his side or prove he needs power.

i don't know where my comment went becasue it was on here earlier so here it is again.
i thought it was interestig how the people of rome accepted the story of Remus and Romulus rather than the story of the actual men founders.
